Jude Bellingham responded to the latest transfer news emerging from Birmingham City ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The Blues have bounced straight back to the Championship after slipping down to League One last season, breaking an all-time EFL points record with 111 points from 34 wins and nine draws.
Chris Davies has done an incredible job since being appointed last summer, winning 44 of his 60 matches in charge, and supporters will be expecting another incredible season in the Championship.
Football Insider understands that Birmingham City are in talks to sign Bright Osayi-Samuel from Fenerbahce on a free transfer, and that is the kind of transfer links emerging at St Andrew’s Park.
Davies’ side will be eyeing promotion all the way back to the Premier League, and with Demarai Gray now being announced as a new player ahead of next season, anything is possible for the Blues.

“The 29-year-old joins Blues from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq and has put pen to paper on a three-year contract through to the summer of 2028. It marks an exciting homecoming for the Birmingham-born winger.”
The announcement gained likes from Real Madrid‘s Bellingham, as well as Sheffield United’s Tom Cannon and Everton’s Dwight McNeil, with the player returning to St Andrew’s for the first time since 2016.

Football Insider verdict
Similar to Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s Wrexham, Birmingham will be aiming for a dream return to the Premier League despite only just winning promotion out of League One.
Under new ownership, an influx of cash has seen a lot of exciting players arrive at St Andrew’s Park, including Alfie May and Jay Stansfield, with the latter costing a League One record £15million [Sky Sports].
The Blues are likely to break the bank again with promotion still on the mind, and Gray’s arrival is likely to just be the start of a very exciting summer transfer window for the club.

Football Insider also understands that Birmingham City have made moves to sign Tottenham’s Mikey Moore, albeit on loan, but it goes to show the ambition of the club for next season.
With Leicester City, Sheffield United, Southampton, Norwich City, Middlesbrough, and Ipswich Town in the division, it will be an incredibly difficult battle for the promotion spots, and even the top six.
The majority of supporters at St Andrew’s Park will believe that anything is possible next season, and that they have every right to believe, and nobody is going to stop them until the football starts.
