With summer now in full swing, it’s as important as ever to find ways to beat the heat. But people aren’t the only ones getting creative when it comes to cooling off. Just ask Heather Klein.

The other day, Klein was driving near her home in Monrovia, California, when she spotted an adorable scene playing out on someone’s front lawn. The sprinklers had been set to come on — and that glistening spray of cool water evidently hadn’t gone unnoticed.

There, with palpable delight, was a bouncy bear cub, prancing through the sprinklers much a like human child might.

“So fun to witness!!” Klein later wrote, sharing the footage online:

Klein wasn’t the only one watching. Fortunately for this fun-loving cub, he was under parental supervision the whole time.

“You can see mama at the end of the video coming to get them!” Klein said. “She was watching comfortably on the other side of the street.”

The city of Monrovia borders the Angeles National Forest, so it’s not uncommon to see bears exploring the community — a fact of life that comes with some aww-worthy benefits, such as in sightings like the one above.

“So pure and innocent,” Klein wrote.
