A blistering verdict on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s exit from the Royal Family emerged this week, and it’s safe to say it’s not a favorable oneMeghan Markle and Prince Harry received a 15-word verdict(Image: Getty)
The quote cut like a knife through the tension of an already heated week: “The problem is that Prince Harry is neither bright nor strong… and Meghan is both.”
This sizzling statement on “Megxit” came in just 15 biting words, ascribed to one of Queen Elizabeth II’s trusted friends, Lady Elizabeth Anson, who shared a close bond with the monarch for many years, reports the Express.
Lady Anson, while speaking to esteemed royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith in 2018-19, provided a stark glimpse into the thoughts of the queen’s innermost confidants regarding Harry and Meghan as a pair. She was quoted as saying, “We hope, but don’t quite think, that (Meghan) is in love… we think she engineered it all.”

She alleged that the queen feared Harry was “besotted and weak” and possibly under the sway of his then-fiancée.
In a candid moment, Lady Anson added, “I don’t trust Meghan an inch… Meghan could turn into nothing but trouble.”
So far, there has been no official response from Buckingham Palace or the Sussexes themselves regarding the comments, which surfaced this week in Sally’s Royal Extra feature on Substack. However, their silence seems to speak volumes.

Taking a trip down memory lane, we recall meeting Cheryl Tweedy in 2002, when pop sensation Girls Aloud emerged on the scene with their hit single, Sound Of The Underground.
Following their live performance on our Channel 4 afternoon show around Christmas time, we had the opportunity to mingle with the ecstatic and energized group over some drinks post-show.
Yet, it’s Cheryl who remains vivid in my memory: shining with vivacity, articulate, brimming with character. “That girl’s going places,” I remarked to Richard during our ride home.
And now, after a hiatus of five years from our screens, she’s making a comeback, rumored to be on deck as a mentor for ITV’s talent showcase The Voice. Girl aloud once more.
