Drug user Sam Croston claimed he had no memory of the attack after Pamela Croston was found seriously injured when her emergency pendant was activated.

She was rushed from a property the pair lived at together on Everdon Road, in Coventry, to hospital. Despite the best efforts to save her, she sadly died from her injuries in September 2023.
