Liam and Noel Gallagher appeared together as Oasis took to the stage for the first time in 16 years.
After months since the reunion was finally confirmed, the comeback tour got underway in Cardiff on Friday night.
Cast and Richard Ashcroft opened up the tour to the crowd of 75,000 people before Oasis came on stage at around 8.15pm.
The band started with Hello before going straight into Acquiesce. It was then that Liam spoke to the masses for the first time, telling them: “Hey beautiful people it’s been too long.”
They then moved on to What’s The Story (Morning Glory) and then Some Might Say.
The 2025 gigs mark the first time both Liam and Noel Gallagher have been on stage together in 16 years.
The band last performed at V Festival in 2009 as part of their “Dig Out Your Soul Tour”. It was quickly followed by the cancellation of their planned performance at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris due to a backstage altercation, which led to the band’s breakup.
Huge demand for the reunion shows saw tickets sell out within minutes last September, as fans scrambled to get a chance to see the Gallaghers back in action – including their five gigs at Heaton Park.
Oasis have sold more than 75 million records worldwide, with their last album released in 2008.
After Cardiff the band will head to Heaton Park for shows on July 11,12,16,19 and 20. They will then play gigs in London, Dublin and Edinburgh – before embarking on a world tour.
