Welcome to the first stage of the 2025 Tour de France. The race kicks off with a flat stage, one for the quick men. Not only is a Tour de France stage up for grabs, but the winner will also wear the coveted yellow jersey. This could be the only time this happens in their whole career, it’s a huge moment for the sprinters. Winning a Tour stage is special, but wearing the yellow jersey is a different level altogether. With so much on the line, it’s going to be a dangerous day for the peloton, GC riders will be incredibly nervous. Every corner will be raced for and there’s a high risk of crashes happening, this is one of the reasons sprints have been avoided as the opening stage in recent editions. Hopefully, everyone stays safe and gets to the finish in one piece.
