An accident on the M8 westbound near Edinburgh has triggers delays and queues as emergency services respond.
The crash, which occurred between junction two and junction 3 on the busy carriageway at around 3:59pm on Friday, July 4, has caused restrictions to be put in place.
The severity of the crash is not yet known, however an image of the incident shows two police vehicles, an accident response unit, and two Scottish Ambulance Service vehicles in attendance. One lane appears to be closed to traffic.

Traffic Scotland are urging motorists to approach with caution. Sharing an update on their website, they wrote: “The M8 westbound between junction 3 to junction 2 is currently restricted, due to a road traffic collision.
“Road users are advised to use caution on approach.”
Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
