Anfield is the cheapest place to buy a home in Merseyside. Homes in the L4 postcode area sold for an average of £113,882 each in the 12 months to the end of February. That’s less than any postcode area in our region with at least 20 sales over the last year.

Stockbridge Village is the next cheapest place in our region to buy a home. Houses sold for £115,854 each on average in the L28 postcode area.

That’s followed by CH41 (Birkenhead) with an average home sold for £122,564, L20 (Bootle) with an average home sold for £126,476 and L5 (Anfield) with an average home sold for £126,553. You can find the average sale price for every postcode area in the country using our interactive map here:

Gayton in Wirral has the highest average sale price of any postcode area in Merseyside to have had at least 50 sales over the last 12 months. Houses sold for an average of £466,993 in the CH60 postcode area.

The CH48 area was the next most expensive place to buy a home in our region. The average home in Caldy sold for an average of £441,243 last year.

That’s followed by L37 (Formby) with an average home sold for £379,680, CH47 (Hoylake) with an average home sold for £363,441 and L18 (Allerton) with an average home sold for £356,753
