Sheffield Wednesday are set to receive another welcome financial boost from a Premier League club.
Sheffield Wednesday are facing three embargos by the EFL as owner Dejphon Chansiri continues to struggle financially.
The Thai businessman was unable to pay wages in May and June, and it’s recently been reported that money was not paid to Southampton and Norwich City for Shea Charles and Akin Famewo.
While finances are a problem for the Owls, they are expected to receive a couple of welcome boosts.
The first has been mooted for some time, with Sheffield Wednesday ‘locked in negotiations’ with Southampton for compensation over Sutura Kakay, who is leaving the Yorkshire outfit after turning down a professional contract.
Now, another club are looking to pry a second Wednesday youngster away from the club.

It has already been reported that Caelan-Kole Cadamarteri is set to join Manchester City this summer. But the Sky Blues are returning to Hillsborough for another rising star.
The Star is now reporting this weekend that Romario Collins is wanted by Pep Guardiola’s side.
And should a move for the young defender happen, Sheffield Wednesday will be due a six-figure fee in compensation.
The exact figure is not mentioned, but any amount of money should come as a welcome boost for the club right now.
However, it is stated that Kakay, Collins, and Cadamarteri’s moves could end up earning the club around £2m.

A number of players have already had their exits from Wednesday confirmed this summer.
And as well as the aforementioned young prospects, more Sheffield Wednesday players could leave.
Barry Bannan is now a free agent, though he is still training with the Owls this week.
Elsewhere, Josh Windass wants to leave and has already been linked with a move away in 2025.
