A POPULAR coffee chain with hundreds of Scots branches has closed one of its Glasgow branches.
Costa Coffee has temporarily closed its branch in Glasgow Fort while it undergoes a makeover.

The coffeehouse shut up shop on Tuesday this week and will reopen later this month.
But while works are underway, coffee lovers will still be able to get their caffeine fix from the store’s ‘takeaway hatch’.
Customers can grab hot drinks and a selection of cakes and pastries from 8am-8pm every day until the store opens back up on July 25.
A spokesperson for Glasgow Fort said: “Costa is getting a makeover!

“The store will be temporarily closed from July 1 at 3:30pm to July 25 for refurbishment.
“But don’t worry — they’re still here for your caffeine fix!
“You can grab hot drinks and a selection of cakes & pastries from the takeaway hatch, open daily 8am–8pm.”
Costa Coffee last year announced a string of nationwide closures, as many of the big chains have been facing rising costs and falling footfall across the high street.
Costa says it regularly reviews its store estate across the UK to ensure it’s right for its communities and teams.
This can include the closing or renovation of existing stores, or the opening of new stores.
