Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather clashed in the ‘Fight Of The Century’ back in May 2015.

The former pound-for-pound superstars locked horns in their long-awaited showdown on Saturday May 2 2015 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

There had been concerns within the boxing world that the duo would end up not facing one another before the end of their respective careers, but the fight was finally signed and made official after years of speculation.

Despite the hype surrounding their monumental showdown, the fight itself failed to live up to expectations and appeared to disappoint boxing fans and analysts around the globe. After an underwhelming 12 rounds, Mayweather was declared the winner via unanimous decision to unify the WBC, WBA and WBO welterweight titles.

‘Money’ Mayweather would go on to announce his retirement from boxing two years later, shortly after he got the better of MMA fighter Conor McGregor in their huge crossover match-up in August 2017.

Speaking on The George Janko Show, Pacquiao spoke of his former rival Mayweather as he admits he ‘pities’ the five-weight world champion for the way he conducts himself through his lavish lifestyle.

“Yeah, he’s boastful. I think his God is the material things, money, everything like that. I pity with him. I pity with him, because I want to share the word of God in him, if he believes God.”

Pacquiao makes a sensational return to the ring this month when he challenges WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios in Las Vegas on July 19.

The 46-year-old Filipino great has not fought as a professional since he was beaten by former WBA welterweight champion Yordenis Ugas four years ago, going on to draw the curtain on his career shortly after.
