Celtic are on the hunt for a Nicolas Kuhn replacement with the winger set to depart imminently.

Kuhn is reportedly set to join Como in a £17m deal and will be one of Celtic’s biggest sales in history.

The German has blown hot and cold at Celtic Park, bursting into life for the first half of the 2023/24 campaign before struggling to recapture his best form.

In the end, Kuhn scored 21 goals in all competitions and it won’t be easy to find his replacement but they believe they have found the perfect talent.

According to the Scottish Sun, the Hoops are set to go back to Rapid Vienna, where they signed Kuhn from, to target Isak Jansson.

The Swedish winger has been one of the Austrian Bundesliga’s star players and impressed, scoring nine goals and registering six assists, reaching the Conference League quarter-finals.

Jansson was signed by Rapid to be Kuhn’s replacement and the report states that a fee of £3m may be enough to get a deal completed.

Brendan Rodgers has already confirmed Kuhn will leave and now plans to find his replacement will begin to accelerate.

What does this mean for Celtic’s other transfer targets?

Celtic have been on the hunt for wingers all summer and with Jota out until 2026 and Kuhn now leaving, Jansson’s link indicates that it’s a priority position to address.

Michel Ange-Balikwisha has teased a move to Celtic for months but rumours tipping him to come to Celtic Park have cooled down recently.

Rodgers will need to identify players in the position due to the lack of depth in the wide areas and even though Jansson may not be the only wide man coming to Glasgow.
