A Birmingham taxi driver was injured in a ‘road rage altercation’ as police launched a probe.
West Midlands Police were called to Bridge Road, at the junction with Anthony Road, in Alum Rock, at around 5.30pm, yesterday, Saturday, July 5.
The force said the taxi driver was punched by a man from a second car, a white Toyota Avensis, which then left the scene.

The taxi driver was taken to hospital, but thankfully his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police continue to hunt the driver of the second car.
No arrests have been made and inquiries are ongoing.
A police spokeswoman told BirminghamLive: “We’re investigating after a taxi driver was injured in Alum Rock after an altercation involving two men yesterday evening (Saturday).

“Officers were alerted by colleagues from the ambulance service to the incident at the junction of Bridge Road and Anthony Road at just after 5.30pm.
“We understand that the taxi driver was punched by a man from a second car, a white Toyota Avensis, which then left the scene.
“The taxi driver was treated by paramedics before taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
“Investigations are continuing to establish the exact circumstances and trace the second driver.
