After making Matheus Cunha their first big summer acquisition, Manchester United hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down in the transfer market.
Under Ineos’ leadership, Bryan Mbeumo has emerged as a top target for the Red Devils, who are also looking into adding more attacking reinforcements.
According to reports, Mbeumo has already reached a personal agreement with United, as Ruben Amorim, Erik ten Hag’s replacement, continues to restructure the team in preparation for a new challenge the following season.
Erik ten Hag is one ex-coach who has recently got a new job elsewhere.
Another ex-coach in Ruud van Nistelrooy is less fortunate as he was sacked from Leicester City.
It’s now been revealed that another ex-coach is set to have a new role is a top Premier League side.
This Premier League side is none other than Brighton Albion in which they have officially appointed a former Manchester United coach.

As per Brighton Albion’s official website, the Seagulls have appointed Jelle ten Rouwelaar as a new goalkeeping coach.
Alongside Ruud van Nistelrooy, the 44-year-old has worked at NAC Breda, Anderlecht, Burnley, Manchester United, Leicester City, and Albion goalie Bart Verbruggen.
“Jelle is an outstanding coach, and we’re really pleased he is joining us,” Hurzeler said. “He has so much experience of European football and the Premier League and will be a strong addition to our coaching staff.”
Having most recently worked at Leicester City since November 2024, Jelle, 44, provides a plethora of expertise from both domestic and international football.
Jelle has also coached for the Dutch Under-20s national team, and at the Eredivisie club where he spent nine years as a goalkeeper, NAC Breda.
During his playing career Jelle ten Rouwelaar made nearly 500 appearances for eight clubs, seven of them in the Netherlands including nearly 400 games for Breda.
Jelle ten Rouwelaar joined Manchester United as a goalkeeping coach in July 2024 in which left shortly after along with Ruud van Nistelrooy.
