AEW star Bobby Lashley has addressed potentially facing off with Jake Paul in a boxing match.
While his brother Logan has successfully transitioned into a career in WWE, Jake Paul has similarly found great success in the world of boxing.
Currently holding a professional record 12-1-0, Paul has successfully won fights against a variety of names from within boxing and the greater combat world, such as Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and famously “Iron” Mike Tyson among others.
While Paul has faced critics due to many of his opponents not being in their physical prime, AEW’s Bobby Lashley shared praise for “The Problem Child”, while also addressing a potential future boxing fight against the 28-year-old.
Speaking with WFAA, Lashley said he’d be “100%” willing to fight Paul should the opportunity arise:
“At the end of the day, fighting is fighting. Jake is doing some big things in the fight world, he’s helping out boxing tremendously because he’s bringing a lot of eyes to it, and the fighters that are fighting on his card are getting paid really well.
“I don’t know if I’m the right match up for him. I think what he needs is some more seasoned boxers to fight because he’s good, he’s actually good, so if he’s good, he needs to keep fighting boxers that can legitimise him more.
“If I had an opportunity to box him, 100% I’d do it tomorrow. I stay in good shape, let’s go hit some mits, let’s do some sparring, let’s get ready for it, I’d be ready, I’d sign a contract. I’m not one of those guys that’s like ‘I’m signing the contract because I wanna spit in your face and talk trash’, I’m not that guy.
“I’m the kind of guy that loves competition, so I’d love to be able to fight him and see what he’s all about, see how good he is.”

While he’s most known for his pro wrestling career across WWE, TNA and now AEW, Bobby Lashley also has experience in the world of combat sports, competing in MMA between 2008-2016.
Holding an impressive record of 15-2-0 across promotion’s such as Strikeforce and Bellator among others, Lashley said in the same interview that he’s considering having one or two more MMA fights in the future, while also teasing a crossover into boxing.
Paul most recently fought on June 28, defeating former WBC Middleweight Champion Julio César Chávez Jr. via unanimous decision.
