West Midlands Police are hunting a driver who drove into a Birmingham home causing ‘significant damage’.

The force was called to reports that a car had driven into a house on Bolton Road, in Small Heath, at around 4pm, yesterday, Saturday, July 5.

Fortunately, no-one was seriously injured, but police said significant damage has been caused to the address.

Video footage shared online shows a vehicle reversing out of the house’s driveway and making off.

Bricks and rubble remain from where a front window had been.

Police are checking CCTV and are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.

A police spokeswoman told BirminghamLive: “We were called at around 4pm yesterday (5 Jul) to Bolton Road, Birmingham, after reports a car had driven into a house.

“Thankfully no-one was seriously injured but significant damage has been caused to the address.

“We are reviewing CCTV footage and making enquiries as part of our investigation.

“Anyone who has any information is asked to call 101 quoting log 3153 of 5 July.”
