Manchester United have embarked on a busy 2025 summer transfer window so far, having already signed Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon.
The pair have been recruited as the Red Devils prepa for their first full season under Ruben Amorim.
Furthermore, it has seen Amorim’s side target Bryan Mbeumo whose transfer to Old Trafford from Brentford is ‘edging closer’.
Alongside the targeting of Mbeumo, Manchester United have also been reported to be targeting players from Serie A – Italy’s top division.
This includes Brazilian star Douglas Luiz who Juventus have offered to Manchester United in their pursuit for Jadon Sancho.
The former England international has returned to Old Trafford from his loan spell at Chelsea during the 2024-25 season.

Now, according to Caught Offside, Manchester United are showing an interest in Atalanta central defender Giorgio Scalvini.
However, this is not the first time United and Scalvini have been linked, with the Red Devils’ declaring interest in the 21-year-old last January.
Unfortunately for The Red Devils, they aren’t the only side that have been reported to carry an interest in the central defender.
Premier league rivals Chelsea, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur have been reported to carry an interest in the Italian international.
Furthermore, the 21-year-old has been pursued by Napoli, Juventus and Inter Milan according to the same report.

Relations between all six clubs and Atalanta are reported to remain at an early stage, however, it is anticipated that interested suitors could step up their efforts to sign the central defender.
The Italian made six appearances last season in Serie A alongside one appearance in the UEFA Champions League.
With his next club yet unclear and with many sides reported to be interested in Giorgio Scalvini, Manchester United will have to battle for the 21-year-old.
