London’s acclaimed production of Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club is celebrating an important milestone tonight, 7 July 2025.

Rebecca Frecknall’s multi-award-winning production of the classic Broadway musical is celebrating its 1,500th performance in the West End with a celebrity gala performance.

The show started its London run in 2021, and saw the Playhouse Theatre undergo a multi-million-pound transformation into the Kit Kat Club for the show, designed by Tom Scutt.

The production went on to win a record-breaking 7 Olivier Awards.

Cabaret boasts an iconic score, with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Joe Masteroff, based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.

The show currently stars Bridgerton’s Hannah Dodd as Sally Bowles, and Olivier Award nominee Rob Madge (My Son’s a Queer But What Can You Do?) as The Emcee. The pair are performing until 20 September 2025.
