The Huawei Watch Ultimate smartwatch is receiving a new global update. Software version 5.0.0.30(C00M04) arrives a few months after the 5.0.0.23 release, which brought a new distance setting for golf courses as well as system stability improvements.
According to the reported changelog for version 5.0.0.30, the Watch Ultimate is gaining another new golf feature. This time, the smartwatch gains touch protection during a golf activity to prevent accidental actions. Similarly, there is a touch protection feature for the diving activity, locking the watch’s crown while you are underwater.
Finally, this update provides Watch Ultimate users with a way to quickly access their chosen payment app. This can now be triggered using the lower button in the smartwatch. On top of this, there is support for more golf course maps, optimizations or Golf Course mode and the offline maps experience is said to have been improved.
Software version 5.0.0.30(C00M04) appears to be a 42.21 MB file, rolling out in phases to all users of the Huawei Watch Ultimate smartwatch (curr. from €532.20 at Amazon.de). When it is available in your region, you will be able to install the update through the Huawei Health app.
