Jake Paul and his representatives are going after Piers Morgan and other harsh critics of his boxing career.
Jake Paul is weeks removed from his unanimous decision victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. to extend his win streak inside the ring. Paul passed what was marketed as the toughest test of his career by stifling and frustrating the former world champion.
In the days after the Chavez fight, Paul has threatened to take serious action against talk show host Piers Morgan and others who have accused him of staging and rigging his fights. Throughout his polarizing fighting career, Paul has been the target of skepticism and criticism over whether or not his bouts are fair and sincere.
Morgan seems unbothered by Paul’s recent threats, stating that he ‘fancies his chances’ in a 2v2 boxing match alongside Dillon Danis against Jake and Logan Paul. But Paul’s team assures that the star’s threats are legitimate and will produce significant legal results.

In a recent interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Paul’s manager Nakisa Bidarian doubled down on his client’s fiery statement.
“When you definitively state that Jake is putting on staged or rigged fights, that’s just defamation, and you’re causing substantial damage to his business, to MVP’s business, and something that’s 100 percent not true,” Bidarian said in defense of Paul. “It’s a federal crime to stage a fight, so that’s going to get a lot more aggressive in going after these individuals who make these statements.
“In the world of social media, these false statements get carried in a way that people will start to believe the narrative. And that was the genesis of the issues with Dana White, because he was the one saying Jake’s fights are rigged and that he was using steroids…people just can’t believe what Jake is doing, and we’re in the process [of pursuing legal action]. 100 percent,” Bidarian continued. “Enough is enough, enough time has passed that Jake has showed what he can do in the ring. And people can criticize, that’s ok, but don’t make false accusations…
“The damage is, we’re in business with DAZN, Netflix, Celsius, and that’s the damage that you’re causing because you’re forcing us to have conversations with our partners that are just unjustifiable…our representation is looking at multiple individuals to go after.”
The rift between Morgan and Paul began when Paul stormed out of a recent interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored over questions regarding the ethicality of his Mike Tyson fight.
As of this writing, Morgan hasn’t provided a response to Bidarian or Paul’s recent remarks. When pressed about additional defamation targets, Bidarian didn’t reveal other names who could come under fire from their team.
Jake Paul and former rival agree to $1 million bet on Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano trilogy
In the meantime, Paul is in New York City to promote the upcoming women’s boxing trilogy between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano. Paul agreed to a $1 million bet with Tyson on the fight.
Paul defeated Tyson by unanimous decision in their boxing clash last year. He came under fire for fighting a 58-year-old Tyson instead of competing against younger contenders.
Paul is 12-1 in his professional boxing career with seven wins by knockout. He’s won six consecutive fights since a loss to Tommy Fury in 2023.
