This week sees Manchester gearing up for a series of massive shows as Oasis finally take to the stage again in their home city. Liam and Noel Gallagher will play five gigs at Heaton Park over the next two weeks as they bring Oasis Live ’25 to town.
The brothers, along with Bonehead, Andy Bell, Gem Archer and Joey Waronker took the stage for the first time in 16 years this past weekend, as they kicked off their tour in the Welsh capital. The Britpop legends played two sold-out shows at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium.
From the opening chords of Hello to the unmistakable lyrics of Champagne Supernova, fans who descended on the city were treated to a medley of their biggest hits, as well as some special tributes and tender moments during the two-and-a-quarter-hour set on Friday and Saturday night.
The band announced they were reforming last August prompting a huge demand for tickets that saw ten million people attempt to secure their spot at some of the biggest gigs of recent years.

As well as five dates in Manchester – 11, 12, 16, 19, and 20 – the brothers and band will play a string of shows in London, Edinburgh and Dublin before heading overseas to play dates across North and South America, Asia and Australia.
An astonishing 1.3m music tourists are expected to head to Manchester this summer during an unmissable two months of live music in the city from some of the biggest artists on the planet, including Oasis.

With the band now preparing for five huge show’s at Manchester’s Heaton Park, attention has turned to the city, which has been busy preparing for the Gallaghers to come to town.

As well as hundreds of signs appearing all around the city, a number of murals nodding to the band, and MCR Live ’25, which encompasses music-themed markets, pop-up shops, a festival bar and impromptu performances launching, there are also a variety of guitar-themed artworks and exhibitions take over the city’s streets, squares, shop windows and other venues.
There’s a whole week of Oasis-themed activities at Manchester’s Central Library and it is here that the first official merchandise stand for the shows has gone up and today (July 8), opened to the public, with a number of items featuring a worker bee yellow colour, alongside the dates for the Manchester shows.

There’s an array of merchandise for fans to purchase including jackets, shirts, tote bags and hoodies.
The images of the merch stand shows a range of different t-shirts styles as well as Oasis logos in a range of blue and yellow prints.
Opening hours for the merch store have been confirmed as 10am to 8pm between Monday and Saturday, except for show days when it will be open between 10am and 7pm. On Sunday, the store will be open 11am to 5pm.
