A BELOVED bar and pub in the heart of the Scottish capital is set to close its doors for a final time after 12 years.
Bosses at Boteco Do Brazil, located on Edinburgh‘s Lothian Street, made the sad announcement on social media on Sunday.

They said the decision was ‘not their choice’ but encouraged customers to head to the venue for one last party.
The bar is famous for its Latin club nights, live music and Salsa dancing classes.
And it has a second location in Glasgow‘s Trongate.
The pub and restaurant offers up a tasty tapas menu and signature Brazilian cocktails.
Bosses confirmed that the last day would be Sunday, May 4.
The post on Instagram read: “After over a decade of music, dance, food, and community, Boteco Do Brasil Edinburgh is closing its doors on Sunday 4th of May.
“This wasn’t our choice… but we’re going out the way we lived: LOUD, PROUD, and FULL OF LOVE.
“Thank you to every single person who made Boteco what it is, especially our team, dancers, musicians, and DJs.
“You made this place home.”
Punters were left shocked by the news and flocked to the comments.

One person wrote: “Unbelievably sad, best salsa club for me.”
Another added: “Hit me where it hurts.”
A third said: “There are hardly any nightclubs left in Edinburgh that aren’t aimed at students. Boteco welcomed all age groups.”
While a fourth commented:
“Still on until May 4 so let’s make the most of the last few weeks remaining, let’s show Boteco some love.”
