Parents across the country will be finding out today which primary schools their kids will be going to from September.

Today is primary school offer day, when parents will learn whether they have been successful in getting their children into their favoured schools.

It may be a nervous wait for some and while most tend to get into their top schools, some miss out and have to send their sons and daughters elsewhere.

And some unhappy parents may decide to appeal decisions.

It’s a challenge for some schools more than others to meet the level of demand.

Top schools which have good reputations and impressive results are likely to face problems with being oversubscribed, meaning they have to turn some parents away.

On primary school offer day, we have listed some of the best primaries in the West Midlands, based on latest results.

Schools were ranked based on the overall performance of children and how many are meeting expected standards of their age groups in core subjects like English and maths.

The latest table was compiled based on results during the 2023/24 school year.

And it allows parents to see the schools where pupils are performing the best.

The top-performing primary in the region, according to this list, is St Anne’s Catholic Primary School in Sutton Coldfield, where an impressive 100% of pupils are meeting the expected standards.

Other top schools include Little Sutton Primary in Sutton Coldfield and St Bartholomew’s CE in Wolverhampton.
