Djeidi Gassama
Rangers have agreed personal terms with Sheffield Wednesday attacker Djeidi Gassama as the winger closes in on a switch to Ibrox.
It is understood the Light Blues have struck a deal with the player on a four-year deal to become Russell Martin‘s latest signing of the summer with just a fee now to be agreed between clubs.
Reports earlier today suggested Rangers had been competing with other sides to land the 21-year-old wide man and now a deal is close with both teams spending the week together at the FA’s St George’s Park training base.
But now we understand an official move is nearing completion after Gassama said yes to the new era led by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises.
Gassama hit eight goals in 47 outings last term with just the one assist as the Owls finished 12th in the EFL Championship table.
It’s understood the playmaker is available for a fee close to £2.5million.
