Newsham Scream Park is set to return for a series of 2025 Halloween events, with horror fans able to explore a number of rooms inside the old hospital building. Set inside one the UK’s spookiest sites, the former hospital will host Newsham Scream Park for a third season, with different stories in each room.
The Victorian Grade II listed building was first built as an orphanage for the children of British seamen in 1879. It later became a hospital and an asylum, and in recent years it has been used for Halloween events. This year, the Newsham Scream Park events will feature a themed bar and street food courtyard, aiming to offer guests “more than just scares”.
The building will host Newsham Scream Park from Wednesday, October 1 – Friday, October 31. Asylum Entertainment Limited has unveiled four new scare mazes and experiences, designed by AtmosFEAR! Scare Entertainment.
Four ‘scare mazes’ will be available to visit as part of the event, named Victorian Psycho, Witch Hunt, Phantasma’s Hall of Freaks and Larst Resort.e:

Jason Karl, creative director for AtmosFEAR! Scare Entertainment, said: “Designing Newsham Scream Park at the UK’s most unique Halloween destination venue presents us with almost unlimited options across multiple buildings, floors and in hundreds of rooms and passageways.
“For season three we are bringing four new scare attraction experiences which are all new and utilise parts of the building that haven’t been seen during our previous two seasons.
“Having already scooped two awards over the past couple of years,we are ready for the challenge of season three and to bring the screams to Newsham Scream Park once again.”

A brand-new Horror Selfie Museum with eerie props and atmosphere will also be available this year. There will be new street entertainment, stage acts and live music, alongside the food court and licensed bars, plus tarot readers, mystics, fortune tellers and more.
The event website says: “Hidden within the towering walls of the infamous Newsham Park Hospital in Liverpool lies something far more sinister than just crumbling corridors and faded memories.
“Once a Victorian orphanage asylum and hospital, this historic building now serves as the chilling backdrop for Newsham Scream Park – the UK’s boldest and most immersive Halloween attraction.
“Step inside the darkness and face your fears across a series of live action horror mazes, scare zones and twisted theatrical experiences. Our scare actors will bring your nightmares to life as you navigate haunted wards, deranged experiments and unspeakable horrors lurking around every corner.
“Every room tells a story and every hallway hides a scream.”
