A drugs mule left £70,000 worth of cannabis resin on a bag carousel at Bristol Airport.
Liam Walker, 44 and of no fixed address, admitted importing class B drugs after the suitcase containing 25kg was found.
Walker flew into Bristol from Portugal last December with the drugs concealed in brown taped blocks.
He was arrested by offers from the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit in London on Tuesday, July 1. He was charged and pleaded guilty the following day.
Detective Sergeant Sarah Pugh from SWROCU said: “Walker had moved about trying to evade arrest for several months, but with some valuable support from colleagues at Kent Police, we caught up with him last week and he’s now remanded awaiting sentencing.

“Drug supply is linked to the exploitation of young and vulnerable people as well as serious youth violence.
“It is well documented the extensive impact illegal drugs have in our communities and Walker had enough drugs in his suitcase for several thousand average individual street deals.
“We are committed to working with partners to target people intent on importing illegal drugs for their own financial gain.”
Walker is due to be sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on August 5.
