Edinburgh passengers have welcomed the announcement of new flights to top ski destinations.

Jet2 has unveiled their ‘biggest ski programme ever’ with new journeys to France, Austria and Italy. The airline has over 15,000 seats for winter 2026/27 on offer.

Ski lovers will be able to reach Chamberry, Geneva, Salzburg, Inssbruck and Turn. The flights will operate from December next year, and continue through the winter months.

Passengers can enjoy a weekend of snow sports, with ‘fantastic flexibility’ available. The ‘friendly’ flight times include 10kg hand baggage allowance.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays , said: “We enjoyed another successful ski season last winter, and with skiers and snowboarders already looking ahead to Winter 26/27, we have responded by launching our ski programme for next winter from Edinburgh Airport.

“Our ski programme, offers skiers and snowboarders great choice and flexibility and means they can hit the slopes, while benefitting from all the advantages of travelling with our award-winning airline.”

Jonny Macneal, Head of Aviation at Edinburgh Airport, said: “Winter just got a lot more exciting with these fantastic routes to some of Europe’s top ski destinations.

“You can swap Scotland’s grey, drizzly skies for snow showers and slopes thanks to this skimendous schedule, making it even easier to hit the mountains straight from Edinburgh.”
