Scotland’s top burger joints are competing to be crowned the best in Britain.

Popular eateries from the country’s east and west coasts have been named on a shortlist.

The Scottish burger outlets will be pitted against others from England and Wales in the inaugural British Burger Awards.

Independent operators, high street chains, and street food pioneers are among the finalists, including 10 from Edinburgh and 10 from Glasgow.

These are the Scottish premises shortlisted for the British Burger Awards 2025:

  • Dennistoun Bar-B-Que (Glasgow)
  • Thundercat Pub + Diner (Glasgow)
  • Bread Meats Bread (Glasgow)
  • The Duke’s Umbrella (Glasgow)
  • Smokey Trotters Kitchen (Glasgow)
  • Burgers and Beers Grillhouse (Edinburgh)
  • The Boozy Cow (Edinburgh)
  • Side Street Burgers (Edinburgh)
  • Hollywood Burgers & Shakes (Edinburgh)
  • Salt Horse Beer Shop, Bar & Burgers (Edinburgh)
  • The Niche Restaurant (Irvine)
  • Burger Island (Burntisland)
  • Saints Sizzle Classic Hamburgers (St Andrews)

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on September 8 at the Double Tree by Hilton in Stoke-on-Trent.
