The chaos at Sheffield Wednesday shows no signs of letting up, as EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal one massive problem lies ahead for Danny Rohl upon his return to the club.
It’s been yet another manic week for the Owls, with a mix of good news and bad news emerging out of the club in the past few days.
While fans are disappointed that Djeidi Gassama is being sold, with more players likely to follow, there has been solid progress with regards to takeover talks for Sheffield Wednesday.
We’re told at least three interested parties are still looking at a takeover, and this has prompted Danny Rohl to decide he will return to the club and continue his work with the team.

While fans are not sure about Rohl’s return, given the way he has attempted to facilitate an exit from the club this summer, Rohl has been praised by Alan Biggs for how he has dealt with Dejphon Chansiri.
However, thanks to information from our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, we are told that players in the Sheffield Wednesday squad are far from happy with the idea of Rohl coming back.
It is thought that the players have communicated via WhatsApp and have come to an agreement on their collective stance regarding the Sheffield Wednesday manager.
Apparently, the players feel like Rohl let them down this summer by staying away from the club amid the financial crisis and are not happy that he has not been present for the start of pre-season training.
We understand the players have even voiced these concerns to the Sheffield Wednesday board, stating that they would rather Rohl was not in charge of the team at all.

While Rohl’s return was always likely to be divisive, we had initially assumed that this would be a positive move for the club in the long-run.
We even suspected Rohl could help resolve issues like Barry Bannan’s contract and any potential recruitment the Owls wanted to carry out this summer by persuading free agents to come on board amid the transfer embargoes.
However, Rohl’s influence in S6 appears to have been severely damaged over the course of this summer.
The fact that his assistant, Henrik Pedersen, signed a new contract earlier this week prompted many to suggest that he should be the new manager at Hillsborough instead of Rohl.
But, the fact of the matter is, Rohl is under contract, and Chansiri would find it very difficult to terminate that contract given the current financial issues at the club.
Just how badly this rift between the players and the manager affects the club moving forward remains to be seen, but it’s yet another massive problem for Sheffield Wednesday to navigate.
