A SHOP dedicated solely to nature, wildlife, and the outdoors, is set to open soon in the city’s West End.
Wild Fungarium Bookshop is currently setting up in Randolph Place, in a former kitchen showroom.
Founders Katrina and James are hoping to open the doors by the end of this month.
The unique store will specialise in tools for the outdoors and wildlife-themed gifts, as well as hosting events in the space.

Wild Fungarium is a “new independent wildlife bookshop with a fantastic selection of nature, wildlife and gardening gifts”.
It is moving into the former Craighead and Woolf store, just around the corner from Princes Street.
The building is B listed and, as part of the Edinburgh New Town A Group, has been described as “a significant surviving part of one of the most important and best-preserved examples of urban planning in Britain.”
Soon, it will house items such as books, binoculars, telescopes, gardening tools, seeds, stationery, games, and much more.
Wild Fungarium has been founded by couple Katrina and James, who say that they met and fell in love whilst working on a nature reserve in the Scottish Highlands.
Their shared love of the natural world resulted in them setting off on their “own wee adventure” to help other wildlife lovers with their new shop.
The pair have set up a newsletter for those who want to keep tabs on the summer launch, and continued news from the store.
As well as gifts, they hope to host book signings and creative wildlife events in the new space, which is currently being renovated.
They plan to paint the exterior with Farrow & Ball’s Suffield Green, a popular mid-toned colour which they say will elevate the “historical architecture and features unique to the front elevation of 13 Randolph Place”.
