Shocking footage shows the moment two men allegedly attacked a woman in a busy Edinburgh bar.
A 29-year-old, who wished to remain anonymous, was out in the capital, having a good night with friends on Saturday, April 12. Having a good laugh with friends in Bar50 on the Cowgate, she said two men “lunged towards her pushing her with force to the ground”.
The mum said her and her pals were having a drink and using the photo booth when they spoke to some couples who were sitting nearby and said the two men appeared to be looking at them, while talking to each other.
Seconds later the two men reportedly walked past the group, attacking the women with brute force before others intervened and the pair were escorted out by the bouncer.
Police Scotland have confirmed they received a report of an assault and are investigating the incident.

Speaking to the Record the woman said the incident has left her too afraid to go out. She said: “I’m still in shock as I don’t know why they chose me but I also received messages from bar staff at another pub that they were aggressive and horrible in their premises. A member of the public seen them earlier that day and they were also rude to her.
“I was okay on the night but I went to the doctors today and they had said I have severe whiplash and it could take a while to get better the doctor is also worried I might have a brain injury and to look out for worrying symptoms.”
The woman was allegedly pushed with force.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a woman who was assaulted at licensed premises on Blackfriars Street in Edinburgh around 11.05pm on Saturday, 12 April, 2025.
“No one was injured and enquiries are ongoing.”
