Leeds may have taken a step closer to re-signing Manor Solomon.

The 25-year-old shone on loan at Elland Road last season, notching 10 goals and 12 assists in the Championship-winning campaign.

There had been questions over whether Thomas Frank could choose to reintegrate the Israel international after his loan spell in LS11.

However, that is surely not the case after the latest update emerged from Hotspur Way.

Daniel Farke would love to have the electric winger back on board as he tries to ensure survival in the Premier League.

Fabrizio Romano (10 July) reported that Mohammed Kudus had successfully completed the main part of a medical in North London, with documents set to be signed.

Tottenham have since completed the £55million signing of the West Ham winger.

The Lilywhites are also in for Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White and have reportedly activated his £60m release clause.

Leeds can take advantage of Tottenham signing Kudus

Kudus featured 32 times in the top-flight last season, with 11 of those appearances coming on the left-flank and just six from the right.

If Frank and Co are planning to utilise him on the left wing, it could mean that they will sanction a Solomon departure, if they want to keep spending.

The fact that the Europa League winners have Heung-Min Son, Kudus, Brennan Johnson, Dejan Kulusevski, Mathys Tel, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert, who can all feature from the wings, surely strengthens the case for a return to the Whites for Solomon.

The former Yorkshire loanee could be available for around £15m this summer, and at that price, it would be foolish for Farke’s side not to strike a deal, after his brilliant performance last season.

The 49ers are reportedly winning to hand the German another £80m after already spending £42m on the likes of Jaka Bijol, Sebastiaan Bornauw, Lukas Nmecha and Gabriel Gudmundsson.

It remains to be seen whether the Peacocks can strike a deal, but surely they should try given the embarrassment of riches that Spurs have in his position and the fact that they need attacking reinforcements if they are to stay up.
