Road crime police spotted a suspect vehicle on a motorway near Birmingham leading to a big drugs and cash haul find and three arrests.

The vehicle was spotted on the M6 just outside of the city late on Thursday (July 10) night.

Road Crime Team officers stopped the car and searched it discovering a large amount of suspected Class A drugs and cash.

Three men, all aged between 25 and 31 were arrested on suspicion of being drug dealers.

They are currently in police custody and being quizzed by police.

And the car was seized with the West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) investigating.

Under Operation Target, teams from West Midlands Police and ROCU are working around the clock to take action against all forms of organised crime including the supply of drugs.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We’ve arrested three people and recovered a large quantity of drugs after stopping a car in Birmingham.

“Officers from our Road Crime Team spotted the car on the M6 just outside of the city late last night (July 10).

“The car was stopped, and during a search, officers found a large amount of cash, and suspected Class A drugs.

Three men were arrested at the scene. The men, aged between 25 and 31, are all currently in custody being questioned on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

“The car was seized and the West Midlands Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) is continuing to investigate.”
