A player on The Chase had her name changed by Bradley Walsh after a great showing on today’s show. The host welcomed four new quizzers on Tuesday’s programme.
Rod, Laura, Kiera and Antonio were aiming to win big on the latest episode of the ITV gameshow. Standing in their way was Jenny Ryan who hoped to beat the team at the podium.
Rod was first up and the delivery driver from Chesterfield banked £6,000 in an impressive cash-builder. However, he was less successful in the head to head as he was eliminated by The Vixen.
Laura was next up and the 35-year-old hailed from the Wirral. She told Bradley: “I’m originally from Liverpool, but we moved over eight years ago to New Brighton.”
Bradley heaped praise on our region as the host said: “It’s a beautiful part of the world.” Laura, who works as a shipping line trade manager, put in an impressive performance to earn £7,000 in the cash-builder.
She was a Formula One enthusiast who wanted to earn money to go to a Grand Prix in Canada. She proceeded to put in an incredible performance.
Laura managed to navigate past Jenny Ryan to book her spot in the Final Chase. The Merseyside native admitted she guessed some of the answers correctly, which impressed Bradley
The host said: “How did you get that? That was jammy.” Laura’s run of luck prompted Bradley to change her name during the episode when she progressed to the final.
He said: “From henceforth you will now be known as Jammy Laura.” Jenny made another suggestion as she added: “I’m a fan of an alliteration. Let’s got with lucky Laura.”
