Birmingham is a constantly changing city.

If there is one thing you can say about our approach to architecture, its that we aren’t afraid to knock things down and start again.

Above you can see an example – Goodsyard in Pitsford Street, in the Jewellery Quarter, has drastically changed betweekn 2020 and today.

Just about everywhere there seems to be massive change taking shape across the city with huge tower blocks popping up all over town. Or large flats and developments rising from the ground without anyone seeming to have noticed.

What starts with artists impressions of the buildings presented to council planners of some futuristic development that you think never in a month of Sundays is that going to happen. The next time I look a development of 432 flats has appeared from nowhere.
