Princess Kate Middleton’s former assistant Natasha Archer is moving on from the royal family to another high-profile gig.

An Instagram post with the handle @natashaarcher popped up following Archer’s official Kensington Palace departure, revealing that she’s going into the “luxury consultancy” business. (Us Weekly learned earlier this week that Archer had decided to go into private consulting.)

As of Friday, July 11, the account has just over 2,000 followers and features an email for inquiries. Archer, 37, also follows about 400 people, including the Prince and Princess of Wales and the official royal family account.

She was employed by Prince William and Kate, 43, since 2010 and spent 15 years with the family until news of her departure broke on Wednesday, July 9. Her final title was Senior Private Executive Assistant to the Prince and Princess of Wales, which was bestowed in August 2022. Per her LinkedIn, Archer’s duties included, “clothing,” “diary” and “projects.” She was also honored with the Royal Victorian Order, for her dedication to serving the royal family, in 2019.

After Kensington Palace declared they would no longer share the details of Princess Kate Middleton’s wardrobe, it led to a real-life royal fashion emergency. Throughout Archer’s time with the royal family, she became known as the reason for Kate’s major fashion transformation — some might refer to it as the “Kate Effect.” The Princess of Wales’ clothing has become a booming business, with most items selling out almost immediately after she’s photographed in them.

“Initially Kate was a reluctant fashion icon, but now she enjoys it. Tash helps source some of the clothes,” Vanity Fair reported via an insider in 2014. “She shops a lot for Kate online, and calls in hundreds of dresses for Kate to try on. She has persuaded Kate to take some more risks. The hemlines are shorter and Kate’s really pushing the boat out in the fashion stakes.”

Other than her consulting business, Archer also has a family at home. She married royal photographer Chris Jackson in April 2017. They have since expanded their family welcoming two sons, one born in December 2018 and the second born in December 2021.

Jackson has been open when it comes to sharing glimpses into his life with Archer and their boys, while she has been mainly off the grid — until now. With a new Instagram under her belt, here’s hoping that Archer will offer a look into their home life.
