In the opening race of the weekend, Toprak Razgatlioglu claimed his 10th win of his World Superbike career at Donington Park as he dominated proceedings in Race One.
Nicolo Bulega was 6.535 seconds behind Razgatlioglu at the chequered flag, as his Championship lead has been slashed by Razgatlioglu once again.
For the eighth time this season, Danilo Petrucci was on the World Superbike Championship as he finished third in Race One at Donington Park.
The Pata Maxus Yamaha duo of Andrea Locatelli and Jonathan Rea finished in fourth and fifth place. Locatelli matched his best result at Donington Park, and Rea claimed his best result of the season.
Scott Redding and the MGM Bonovo Racing Team had a promising start to the weekend as they finished in sixth place after qualifying in 17th.
Dominque Aegerter claimed his joint best result of the season as he finished in seventh place on the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK machine.
Kawasaki WorldSBK Team rider, Garrett Gerloff, was able to equal his best result with an eighth-place finish in Race One at Donington Park.
Remy Gardner made it so that both GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team riders finished inside the top ten as he finished in ninth place in Race One.
Completing the top ten was the Team Pata GoEleven rider Andrea Iannone, who came back through the field after a poor start to the opening race.
British rider, Ryan Vickers, finished outside of the top ten as he finished in 12th place on the Motocorsa Racing Ducati.
However, fellow British riders Sam Lowes, Alex Lowes and Tommy Bridewell all crashed out of the opening race of the weekend.
