Celebrity Big Brother star Daley Thompson has claimed that co-stars JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes have gameplans to “get more airtime”.

Tuesday’s (15 April) episode of the ITV reality show saw the group punished for the second time in as many days after Chris and JoJo exchanged what appeared to be a covert message via hand touching, with Big Brother deeming it a rule break.

This followed an infraction on Monday (14 April) after Chris discussed the nominations process in detail, with the Love Island star having to perform a rap from a stylised wheelie bin to atone for his lapse in judgment.

Following the latest indiscretion, former Olympic athlete Daley conversed with Angelica Ball, Danny Beard and Ella Wise about the incident, with the latter saying: “I told you – they’ve [Chris and JoJo] been having secret conversations.”

“But that’s not a punishment, that’s a punishment for us. They’re laughing because they’re annoying us,” replied Daley, with Angelica adding: “Big Brother likes to put a cat amongst the pigeons.”

“A cat amongst the pigeons? That’s two massively loud hyenas amongst a flock of doves,” quipped Danny, with Daley concluding: “You know it’s part of the plan. Every time they get a punishment and all that, they get the airtime.”

Despite their claims of innocence, Chris and JoJo received a punishment for their rule break, with the pair only being permitted to speak through a megaphone until Big Brother decided otherwise, a move that Ella quipped that the duo would likely enjoy.

The episode also saw the latest eviction take place, with Trisha Goddard the third celebrity to be eliminated after Michael Fabricant and Mickey Rourke. The presenter exited following a public vote, with Jack P Shepherd and Patsy Palmer left to fight another day.

Following her eviction, Trisha said it was “what I expected” but that she wasn’t surprised about who had nominated her: “We all said we were scratching around in the dirt to say something negative about each other. We really got on.”

Celebrity Big Brother airs on ITV2 and ITVX.
