There’s a chance a bitter royal rift may soon come to an end after secret meetings were held between King Charles and Prince Harry’s top aides.

The hush-hush meeting was held at a private members’ club in London, not far from Clarence House.

Insiders believe this could be a “rapprochement process” between the Sussexes and the rest of the Royal Family, the Mirror reports.

The meeting, which was believed to have taken place last week, saw Harry’s right-hand woman, Meredith Maines, fly in from California to meet Tobyn Andreae, the King’s communications chief.

Liam Maguire, who heads up the Sussexes’ UK PR team, was also said to be at the “informal drinks”, which were held on the Royal Over-Seas League’s garden terrace.

A source told MailOnline: “There was no formal agenda. But both sides came to the table ready to talk.

“It’s the first real channel of communication we’ve seen in years.”

Maines, who was dressed in a cream jacket, heels, and clutching a black Louis Vuitton bag, was said to have jetted back to the Sussexes’ Montecito mansion following the talks, where she’s thought to have given Harry a full briefing.

No comment has been issued by Buckingham Palace or Team Sussex regarding the meeting.

The meeting comes just two months after Harry’s bombshell BBC interview, where he claimed his father wouldn’t speak to him “because of this security stuff,” referring to the removal of his police protection in the UK.

The prince accused the Palace of orchestrating an “old-fashioned establishment stitch-up,” and heavily implied his father could have stepped in.

But despite what has been said in the past, it seems King Charles could be ready to move on.

The Mail on Sunday previously reported that Harry had invited the Royal Family to the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham, which was also seen as an olive branch.
