Oasis split in August 2009, due to the long-standing feud between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher.
The final straw was a backstage fight in Paris before a performance at the Rock en Sein, where Noel claimed Liam wielded a guitar “like an axe”. Noel subsequently quit the band, stating he could no longer work with Liam.
Prior to their opening shows in Cardiff at the start of July 2025, the last time Oasis played together was at V Festival in August 2009. The 19-song setlist included hits like Rock ānā Roll Star, Cigarettes & Alcohol and Wonderwall, and they concluded their last show with I Am The Walrus.
Oasis formed in Manchester in 1991, going on to become one of the defining bands of the Britpop era and one of the biggest and most influential bands in the world with seven albums across a two decade period.
