Jannik Sinner can finally breathe. After losing the French Open final in agonising circumstances, the Italian has clinched the Wimbledon title.
Despite the memory of the French Open heartbreak lurking in the background, the Italian rarely looked fazed during a 4-6 6-4 6-4 6-4 victory over Carlos Alcaraz, who he also beat at Wimbledon in 2022.
As is the case during these show-stopping occasions, a number of famous faces attended SW19 looking to get a piece of the action, including Matthew McConaughey, Paul Mescal, and the King of Spain.
Amongst the glittering cast of celebrities sat members of the Royal Family, including Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

After his victory, Sinner took time to speak to the family, with one youngster revealing a key update to his tennis repertoire.
Jannik Sinner tells the Royal Family his elbow felt perfect ‘two days ago’
Jannik Sinner’s ice-cool demeanour rarely wavers. His emotions are infrequently vocalised on the court and he seems unflappable in all that he does.
This trait does not seem to alter when speaking to some of the most high-profile people on planet earth, including the Royal Family.
Jose Morgado, a tennis journalist, revealed on Sunday evening that Sinner shared a conversation with the family.
Sinner even found time to discuss the racquet choice of young Prince George.

On X [Twitter] Morgado said: “Sinner telling the Royal Family that the elbow feels perfect since ‘two days ago.’
“Asked Prince George about his racket. ‘I play with Yonex’ the young Prince reveals.”
While not as high-profile as the Royal Family, Sinner has certainly catapulted himself into the conversation as one of the most elite and well-known athletes across all sports.
The Italian, who has added a fourth Grand Slam title after victories in Australia and the US, has won three of the last four Grand Slams and will be hoping to add a fifth at the US Open in September. He also became the first ever Italian Grand Slam singles champion at Wimbledon.
Jannik Sinner thanks the ballboys and ballgirls
Jannik Sinner’s classy post-match speech was typified by his thanks to the ball boys and ball girls who performed admirably in their duties at Wimbledon this year.
Speaking to the BBC after the match, the Italian said: The last thing I would like to say. Thank you so much for all the ball boys, ball kids. It’s amazing to have you.
