Part of Merseyside has been hit with a power outage
Part of Merseyside has been left without power through the night after a power cut in the early hours of today. Scottish Power said it is dealing with a power cut affecting more than 30 post codes.
The power is said to have been cut at 1.39am today, July 14, and is causing disruption across Huyton and Roby. Scottish Power said the outage has been caused due to an underground cable fault.
Repairs are underway, with the power company aiming to have power restored by around 11.30am today.
The postcodes affected are: L362LR, L362NR, L362NS, L362NT, L362NU, L362NW, L362NX, L362PA, L362QS, L362QT, L364HU, L364JD, L364LD, L364LF, L364LN, L364LZ, L364PB, L364PF, L364PG, L364PJ, L364PL, L364PQ, L369TE, L369TJ, L369TL, L369TN, L369TP, L369TR, L369TU, L369TW, L75QB.
Scottish Power said on its website: “We are sorry for the continued disruption of supply in the L36 area of Huyton and Roby.
“Our engineers are making progress with the repairs to an underground cable fault and are still aiming to get your power back on as quickly and as safely as possible by 14/07/2025, 11:30.
“If this information changes, we will update you where possible. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.”
Yesterday saw two areas of Merseyside hit by a power outage, with several postcodes across Bromborough and Spital had been affected by the outage.
