Hot on the heels of playing Staffordshire Development in two T20 contests on Sunday, the North Wales side will come up against Cumbria on Tuesday.

Gwersyllt Park Cricket Club will host the match-up, starting at 11am.

The side will be captained by Denbigh’s Harrison Jones and he is joined in the XI by clubmate Joe Clayton.

Jake James, from host club Gwersyllt Park, is included, as are Brymbo duo Sam Aplin and Joe Norman.

Bangor pair Nat Scott and Jamie Grimshaw are joined by Northop’s Jordan Evans, Colwyn Bay duo Matt Russell and Charlie Collins, and Menai Bridge’s Patrick Glover.

Ryan Collier (40 and 34), Jack Williams (2-15), Jamie Grimshaw (2-26) and Joe Norman (2-30) all played their part for North Wales in Sunday’s showdowns.

Talking of busy spells, Northop experienced a win and a defeat in Welsh Cup action.

In a T20 encounter at St Asaph, it was Bart Ryan-Beswick’s side who came out on top by seven wickets.

Andy Poynton took two for 21 as the Saints were restricted to 140 for six (Kyle Williams 38).

Jordan Evans (50 not out) and Ryan-Beswick (34) then led Northop to a winning 141 for three.

In the next round, it was a 40-over encounter as Northop lost out by six wickets to Colwyn Bay, who reached 246 for four (George Johansen 74, Charlie Collins 53no, Dan Russell 54).

Matt Mullarkey picked up three for 48 for Northop, who had earlier been dismissed for 242 (Elliot Colcough 81, Evans 40, Ryan-Beswick 36, Russell 4-41).
