A busy main road in Manchester was forced to close on Monday evening (July 14) after a car was dramatically overturned in a crash.

The northbound carriageway of Princess Parkway (A5103) was closed off with police and ambulance crews also pictured at the scene near Wythenshawe Park. The major route runs from the city centre and connects to the M56.

The black vehicle appeared to have been flipped over before landing on its roof on the outside lane in the crash at around 6pm. The road was closed off from J3A of the M56 to J5 of the M60.
