The Super League disciplinary verdict after Round 18 of the competition has been confirmed with a number of players charged and two banned.
Recent weeks have seen several charges brought forward and given the way the new disciplinary system works, whereby penalty points accumulate and turn into bans, it has meant more players missing action.
Leeds Rhinos’ Tom Holroyd was the latest to suffer a one-match ban after Round 17 but Round 18 has seen two players handed bans.
Both are hookers playing in Hull as KR’s Jez Litten and FC’s Amir Bourouh have been handed one-match bans respectively.
Litten was handed a Grade C charge of ‘other contrary behaviour’ which has seen him earn five penalty points, taking him to a total of seven and earning him a one-match ban.
The Robins were already set to miss their hooker due to the fact he failed a HIA, something which Amir Bourouh also did meaning that his one-match ban following a a Grade B charge for a dangerous throw means little beyond adding more penalty points.
Herman Ese’ese of Hull FC was handed a Grade A charge for a late hit whilst Jonny Lomax also copped a Grade A for a dangerous throw.
Both Agnatius Paasi and Ethan Havard were handed Grade B charges worth three points for making contact with the head.
Josh Charnley was another to land a Grade B charge for other contrary behaviour with the Leigh man scoring his 250th and 251st Super League tries in Saturday’s win over Hull KR.
