As summer temperatures rise, two seasonal favorites have come under kashrus scrutiny, prompting important alerts for kosher consumers.

AriZona Whipped Pineapple Orange Fruit Juice

OU Kosher has issued a warning about this AriZona beverage flavor, which contains dairy and is certified OU-D (Dairy). However, some cans were mistakenly printed with just a plain OU symbol, without indicating their dairy status. The OU reports that corrective measures are being taken.

Jonny Pops Minis

Jonny Pops frozen treats are a staple in many freezers, but not all versions are kosher. While the regular-sized Jonny Pops are certified kosher by the cRc (Chicago Rabbinical Council), the mini versions require extra attention. Only the sour mini flavor is certified kosher. The plain mini pops, which contain grape juice, are not kosher. Shoppers are urged to confirm the cRc symbol before purchasing.
