Former Saracens flyer Ben Harris has stepped away from rugby after just one campaign with Ealing Trailfinders.

The 25-year-old winger, who cut his teeth in the London Irish academy, lit up the Championship last season, crossing for a staggering 15 tries in just nine appearances as Ealing stormed to the title.
Harris joined the Trailfinders last summer following a four-year stint with Saracens, bringing top-flight pedigree and Olympic experience to the Championship side.
A standout for Team GB at the Tokyo 2021 Olympics, Harris dotted down in the bronze medal match—but couldn’t stop a defeat to Argentina.
He now leaves the game to chase a new opportunity outside of rugby.
“I’m sad to be leaving Ealing Trailfinders after having had a very enjoyable year with a great bunch of people,” Harris said.
“I’d like to thank Ben Ward for bringing me in and giving me the opportunity to play rugby last season, and the fans for making me feel so welcome at Vallis Way.
“I’ve enjoyed my time here on and off the pitch, making memories and picking up some silverware. It’s a brilliant club that continues to grow and hopefully will be able to demonstrate that at the top flight of English rugby.
“I’d like to wish the team the best of luck for next season.”
