Eagle-Eyed Fans Notice Princess Charlotte’s Favorite Disney Character

When you are an actual, real-life princess, the fairy tale princess life doesn’t seem quite so appealing. (I’m guessing, obviously, as I’ve never been royalty.) Kate Middleton and Prince William’s daughter Princess Charlotte, 10, loves pop princess Taylor Swift, but she doesn’t seem to be a big fan of Disney princesses like Cinderella or Aurora. In fact, eagle-eyed fans noticed one tiny detail from Princess Charlotte’s recent Wimbledon appearance that hints at her favorite Disney character — and it’s not a princess.

At the tennis championship earlier this week, Princess Charlotte wore a custom white ruffled dress designed by Sarah Burton, who made her mom’s wedding dress, per Hello! The outlet also pointed out that Charlotte accessorized with the Pandora Moments Snake Chain Slider Bracelet.

On the bracelet was a Nyla charm from Disney’s The Lion King. This fierce lioness later marries Simba, which technically make’s her the queen consort of Pride Rock, although she was not born a princess. She is sassy and strong, and it makes sense why Princess Charlotte likes her so much.

Also at Wimbledon, Princess Charlotte rocked bubblegum pink nail polish, which is a notable break from the unspoken royal rule to only wear nude or very light pink nail colors. However, Middleton broke this rule herself, wearing red nails on Easter 2023 and paving the way for Charlotte to showcase her own sense of style as well.

Disney’s The Lion King Nyla Charm

Previously, Charlotte has shown an interest in other Disney characters. In April 2023, the Princess of Wales volunteered at a baby bank, where she spotted Buzz Lightyear toys donated by Mattel. “Oh yes, my daughter is a huge fan of Toy Story,” Middleton revealed. Charlotte also seems to love Encanto and once conducted a band to a rendition of “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.” Her older brother Prince George, 11, also likes his fair share of Disney films, including The Lion King and Coco.

Pandora has a whole line of Disney character charms, so if Princess Charlotte ever changes her mind or likes another character, she will probably show us through her accessories!
