New self-service health kiosks have been introduced at GP practices in Wolverhampton.

The machines allow patients to check vital signs such as blood pressure, height, and weight, and complete health questionnaires related to long-term conditions.

They would ideally be used ahead of an appointment to take the information in with them or use on an ad-hoc basis if patients wished to check particular aspects of their health, City of Wolverhampton Council said.

Councillor Obaida Ahmed, cabinet member for health, wellbeing and community, said she welcomed the move, which was “a significant stride forward in enhancing patient experience”.
