The Ivy Collection is set to launch a second Liverpool venue with the introduction of The Ivy Asia. The concept will offer an Asian dining experience running alongside the Ivy Brasserie’s modern Britain-focused experience.

Known for its service, cuisine, and atmosphere, The Ivy Collection’s first Liverpool site opened on November 19, marking the brand’s 43rd restaurant. While the exact location for The Ivy Asia Liverpool has yet to be announced, it is expected to be either within or near the original site.

The Ivy Asia features the same lively floral décor found in its sister venues, with distinctive Asian cultural accents. Its menu strays away from the Brasserie’s offerings, showcasing exotic dishes such as seared wagyu beef alongside a selection of sushi and sashimi.

The Ivy Asia Liverpool is scheduled to open in the autumn. Manager and sushi sous chef positions are currently advertised on The Ivy’s website.

The Ivy Liverpool Brasserie houses a private dining room seating 14, while the main restaurant will have the capacity to welcome more than 180 diners.

The Ivy Liverpool Brasserie hosted a private soft launch event ahead of its formal grand opening, which saw celebrities descend upon Castle Street.

The soft launch allowed the staff to get hands-on with their duties ahead of public service. Famous faces attending included actresses Jennifer Ellison, Claire Sweeney, and Helen Flanagan, along with prominent local figures such as radio presenter Pete Price.

Guests walked the restaurant’s green carpet and were treated to drinks and canapés, alongside a preview of the restaurant’s beautiful interiors and private dining room.

Liverpool band Mic Lowry gave guests a private performance alongside live entertainment, including fire breathers, saxophone and percussion artists, and a DJ.

Discussing the launch, Kate Keyes, The Ivy Liverpool Brasserie’s general manager, previously said: “Since opening our Spinningfields restaurant in Manchester, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming many Liverpool residents to The Ivy who have made the trip to dine with us.

“We’re delighted that this extraordinary city, steeped in history, culture and rich heritage, will have its very own Ivy Brasserie venue where we can welcome everyone to enjoy The Ivy experience for any and many all occasions including extra special events.”
